The Clash To Reunite With Axl Rose on Vocals

Punk Rock fans were shocked today as Mick Jones announced The Clash is reuniting. The three original members: Jones, Paul Simonon and Topper Headon will be joined by Axl Rose on vocals. Fans never thought this reunion would come to fruition as original singer Joe Strummer passed away 20+ years ago.

The news left punk rock purists scratching their heads while simultaneously reaching for their safety pins and heart medication. Axl Rose, the legendary frontman of Guns N’ Roses seems like an unlikely choice to join the iconic Punk band. However, true Axl fans know that he is a huge fan of Joe Strummer and The Clash.

Many are wondering how the even keeled Brits will get along with the temperamental American Axl. Rose is known to throw items, yell, scream and attack fans. He is also notoriously late and often cancel shows if brown M&M’s make their way into his dressing room. Earlier this year he threw a rabid wolverine into the crowd injuring several fans.

Bass player Paul Simonon told Madhouse News, “The crazy days are behind us all. We were known to cause a bit of trouble back in the day ourselves. Axl is a sweetheart. We had a nice cup of tea together. He did throw the tea on the floor after it was not served in his favorite bone china tea cup, but that’s understandable. All you Americans are crazy. I am just glad he didn’t pull a gun on anyone.”

London Calling

Above all, fans are excited to hear Axl putting his own take on the Clash songs. Guns N’ Roses fan Jake Anderson commented, “’London Calling’ will take on a whole new meaning as Axl screeches his way through the chorus. And let’s not forget ‘Rock the Casbah’ with a touch of Axl’s trademark high-pitched shrieks and signature wails. It’s a train wreck waiting to happen. Nonetheless, I want on board.”

So, buckle up, ladies and gentlemen. Get ready for the clash of the titans—the melding of punk and hard rock, rebellion and excess. Axl Rose fronting The Clash may just be the musical revolution we never knew we needed. Let the chaos commence, the punk rock gods have spoken!

  1. I love the Clash, in my top bands list of all time with Depeche Mode, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Wire, Fugazi, Kraftwerk, Tortoise, etc…

When I saw this line, I afraid I was about to lose all respect. Until I realized… wait.. it’s madhouse. Oh, thank god.
