David Gilmour’s New Album Contains Roger Waters & Drake Diss Tracks
David Gilmour’s new album apparently disses Roger Waters & Drake. The Pink Floyd guitarist has announced his new album ‘Luck and Strange’ will be released on September 6 on Vinyl, CD, Blu-Ray, 8-Track and Digital editions. Musicians contributing to the record include Yoko Ono, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Alex Van Halen, Geddy Lee and Cellist Yo-Yo Ma.
The new album is said to contain diss tracks aimed at Roger Waters and Drake. David’s feud with Waters is legendary but most people are unaware there is bad blood between Gilmour and Drake. However An unnamed source told Madhouse News that Gilmour is apparently good friends with Kendrick Lamar. David wrote the diss track as a response to Drake’s diss track about Lamar.
Pink Floyd
As has been noted, Gilmour and Waters were long time Pink Floyd band mates. Pink Floyd was founded by Waters in 1965. Gilmour joined the band in 1967. They achieved incredible success selling 250 million albums. “Dark Side of The Moon” “Animals” “Wish You Were Here” and “The Wall” are classic albums. Due to growing hatred of each other Waters left the band in 1985.
However The final straw came in 1984 when Roger Waters and David Gilmour were traveling to a band meeting. Waters accused Gilmour of looking out of his (Waters) window of the limo instead of the window on Gilmours side of the car. Gilmour was shocked and told Madhouse News, “Who does something like that? Who cares what window someone looks out. The windows in a car are for everyone. No one owns any of the windows. They are for all to look out of. I had enough of Rogers nonsense so I smashed him in the nuts with my guitar.” There has been nothing but bad blood between the two since.
David Gilmour’s New Album
The Roger Waters diss track on the new Gilmour album is titled, “I Hate Roger Waters”. The lyrics make fun of Waters small feet, tiny manhood and bad hygiene.
“How the f you big steppin’ wearing a men’s size six/ Why don’t you eat a bag o dix
They call you waters cause you wear a diaper, My rhymes are fierce, like a sniper.
I Hate Roger, he’s a smelly old gas passing codger.”
When asked for comment Waters replied, “Yeah David’s just mad because I banged his mom. It’s true I banged his Mom back in the 1960s. She liked to drink so I showed up with a few pints of ale while David was at school and one thing led to another. David came home and caught me buggering his mum on the kitchen table. He’s never gotten over it.”
