John Travolta Throws Missy Elliott in the Trash by Mistake!

It might be time for John Travolta to get glasses.

Travolta has a history of Awards show mess ups. During the Oscar’s, Travolta called Idina Menzel, Adele Dazeem. Then during this year’s MTV VMA Awards, Travolta gave Taylor Swift’s award to a drag queen, in a case of mistaken identity. 

In another case of mistaken identity, Travolta thought Missy Elliott was a Hefty bag of trash, so he scooped her up, carried her out to the alley and threw her in the dumpster.  

Missy Elliott, dressed in her signature “Garbage Bag” blow up costume, was being honored for a lifetime achievement award. Elliott’s genius consisted of being the first to use the lyric “Holla”. Apparently Elliott had a little too much fun backstage and drank a few too many “White Claws.” Missy fell asleep on the couch backstage, when Travolta mistook her for trash. 

“It was a perfectly reasonable thing to do” said Travolta. “I was helping out and cleaning up as I usually do after events, and I saw a large bag of trash. I thought it was rude to leave it laying on the couch like that, so I threw it away. How was I to know it was the star of tonight’s show? Who dresses in a Hefty trash bag?” 

Homeless man, Jeff Swoyer was rooting through the dumpster looking for food and cans when he noticed that one bag had legs. Swoyer notified the truck just in time, before they crushed Elliott.
