John Deacon Breaks Silence: “Queen & Adam Lambert Is Rubbish”

Reclusive former Queen bassist John Deacon has broken his silence after many years. Deacon openly criticized the band’s current incarnation with Adam Lambert as the lead vocalist. The bassist stated that Queen is not Queen without Freddie Mercury. He further stated that Queen with Adam Lambert as lead singer is absolute rubbish.

It’s been a hot minute since Deacon has spoken publicly about Queen’s ongoing musical adventures, and fans have been eagerly awaiting his thoughts on the band’s collaboration with Adam Lambert. Well, wait no more, because the man who brought us those unforgettable bass lines has delivered a verdict that’s as blunt as his male camel toe was back in the 1970s.

Deacon joined Queen as bassist in 1971. John wrote many of the bands biggest hits including, “You’re My Best Friend” “Another One Bites The Dust” “Under Pressure” and “I Want To Break Free”. He basically retired from the band and the music business entirely after Freddie Mercury passed in 1991.

Deacon has not been seen in public much since. There have actually been more sightings of Big Foot than Deacon. John has been enjoying his retirement with his wife and 19 children and 72 grandchildren. He spends his days counting his money and putting on puppet shows with his vast collection of marionettes. John is said to be worth a whopping $130 million US Dollars.

He finally decided to break his silence and give his views of the current state of Queen. “I just can’t take it anymore,” Deacon allegedly announced with an exasperated sigh. “I mean, don’t get me wrong – Adam Lambert is a talented singer and all for someone on a TV competition, but come on, darling! He’s no Freddie Mercury. Honestly, he sounds like my Aunt Sheila when she gets drunk at a wedding and jumps on the mic to sing. The caterwauling is terrible. It’s like having a glass of fine wine and then being handed a can of vomit. It’s just not the same.”

After Deacon made these statements he wanted the whole world to know his feelings. He rented out billboards across England and the US. He published full page ads in the NY Times and whatever fancy newspaper they have in London. Then as a grand finale he hired a series of blimps to travel the countryside flashing “Queen with Adam Lambert is Rubbish” – signed John Deacon.

  1. That is such rubbish! You’ve literally said John has 19 children and 72 grandchildren… he has SIX children. What in the name of all the nonsense is this, which idiot wrote this article and was allowed to publish it? For God’s sake. It’s also super disrespectful to use a post-1997 photo of him, so shame on you for that too.
