‘A Christmas Story’ Remake With Brian Johnson & Marilyn Manson Hits Theaters This Season

The 1983 holiday movie classic, “A Christmas Story” is getting a Rock n Roll reboot. The remake will be directed by Martin Scorsese. The new movie features new music and lyrics written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. The cast will feature a veritable who’s who of Rock n Roll.

Of course Our personal favorite casting, of all time, has Marilyn Manson playing the evil Scut Farkus and Brian Johnson from AC/DC as his little toadie henchman, Grover Dill.

You’ll Shoot Your Eye Out

The original story line revolves around 9 year old Ralphie and his quest for a Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. However, Ralphie’s Christmas wish is repeatedly rejected by his mother, his teacher Miss Shields, and even a Santa Claus at Higbee’s department store, all giving him the same warning: “You’ll shoot your eye out.”

On the whole, The new remake will keep the same basic premise as the original with one major difference. The reboot will take place in the 1970’s and will have Ralphie yearning for a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Cherry Sunburst Mahogany neck Solidbody electric guitar with humbucking pickups. Ralphie’s dreams will of course be crushed by the adults. They all give Ralph the same ominous warning: “You’ll melt your face off kid.”

A Christmas Story Remake

Some of the musical highlights include: Marilyn Manson as Scut Farkus singing “See You in Hell Ralphie” and the entire ensemble cast taunting Schwartz with “Put your tongue on my pole”.

“A Christmas Story” opens on Thanksgiving Day at 500 theaters nationwide. It can also be streamed on HBOMax, NetFlix and MTV. At this time The soundtrack will be available for purchase on special Red Vinyl and a limited edition 8 track version.
