Ryan Seacrest In Hot Water For Comparing Korean Pop Group ‘BTS’ to Hiroshima!

Ryan Seacrest, Host of Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve found himself in hot water after making controversial comments about the Korean K-pop group, ‘BTS’. 

The comments were made while Seacrest was introducing the boy band. Seacrest joked that ‘BTS’ blew up like Hiroshima and that the name ‘BTS’ loosely translates to ‘The Backside Boys’.

Apparently Seacrest was enjoying a little too much champagne during the broadcast from Times Square in New York City. 

Seacrest’s jokes were his attempt to compare the popularity of ‘BTS’ with the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima during World War II.  

When told that ‘BTS’ is actually from Korea and that Hiroshima is in Japan, Seacrest laughed and said “Oh yeah? I once knew a one legged Korean girl. Her name was Irene!”

Seacrest’s publicist, Ellen Guarante, told Madhouse News that Ryan was off his medication and could not be held responsible.
