Rocking Chair of Love with Bret Michaels Premiering This May on COZI TV

-By Claudia Stavola- Bret Michaels is returning to reality TV this spring. In 2007, he starred in Rock of Love on VH1. The series centered around twenty women with meth bodies, and boob jobs meant for Botched, trying to win Michaels’ heart.

Only this time, Poison’s frontman isn’t looking for love; he’s looking for a home health aide in Rocking Chair of Love. The series is being filmed on a cruise ship headed to Cape Cod.

Much like the original series, there will be challenges to determine who is best suited to assist the soon to be sexagenarian with daily tasks like hair brushing, ball freshening, and bedazzling jean pockets.

Early Bird Special

In the series trailer, hilarity ensues when three women are timed to see who can change an adult diaper the fastest, and one of them chooses to change her own diaper on the lido deck! Another challenge has the women hunting for the best early-bird-special coupons.

Show producer Lemet Walker told Madhouse Magazine, “Don’t let the title fool ya’. This isn’t about some old crow sitting in a rocking chair on his front porch yelling at kids. Obviously, Mr. Michaels can afford a recliner.” When asked how the contestants were selected, Walker said the casting director waited outside of a JCPenney hair salon and offered to pay for Kate Gosselin haircuts with crayon-colored highlights for patrons if they’d join the cast.
