RHCP Fans Shocked By Rare Photo of Chad Smith Without Hat

Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith shocked fans when he released a photo of himself without a hat. Smith is known for always wearing a backwards baseball hat. Everyone assumed that he was bald under the hat, but the photo revealed a shocking thick grayish blond afro.

“I figured I would let my freak flag fly” said Smith. “Sure, I know people assumed I was bald or thinning under there, so I showed them the goods. They were never expecting an Art Garfunkel jewfro. You run your hand through this bad boy you ain’t getting that sonofabitch back.”

Fans

Fans were shocked by the photo and lit up social media with mixed feelings. Jesse Burgess tweeted, “WTF Dude that hair looks ridiculous. That cannot be real. The only way to make it look worse is if you had a chin strap.” Brenda Mann commented, “I think it looks great Chad. Don’t let the haters get you down, keep being you.” Mike Nello posted, “Elton John called, he wants his pet chinchilla back.”

Chad Gaylord Smith grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He started to play the drums at age 7. “I was teased and called Sigmund” said Smith. “My hair was bright orange and I looked exactly like that kid from the TV show, Sigmund and the Sea monsters. Plus my middle name was Gaylord. So you can imagine it was a sad and lonely childhood. The drums never let me down though. I showed them though, I showed them all.”

Will Ferrell

Chad continued, “Another reason I took off the hat is to distance myself from the whole Will Ferrell thing. I am really sick of D-bag fans coming up to me and yelling ‘more cowbell’ or reciting some stupid lines from Step Brothers or one of his other stupid movies. I am a handsome dude, I don’t look anything like Ferrell. He looks more like Amy Schumer.”

“It has been very empowering. The hat has held me back from being my true self. I was embarrassed by my hair and wore the hat everywhere. Do you have any idea how annoying it is to shower and swim with a hat on? It will all be worth it if I never have to hear a fan scream to me, ‘I have been called the songbird of my generation’ ever again.”
