Phil Collins Performs Entire Concert From Iron Lung

Due to failing health, Phil Collins was forced to perform an entire concert while in an Iron Lung.

Collins has had a series of misfortunes and poor health. He suffers from Lumbago, Impetigo, Fallen Arches, Scabies, Coxsackie, Rickets and Mad Cow Disease. Collins describes himself as having one foot in the grave and one foot on a banana peel.

For his “Still Not Dead Yet” tour, Collins, 68, has been performing while seated in a chair with a licensed nurse by his side. Collins suffered a setback when his Polio flared up. Collins was scheduled to perform at the KFC Yum Center in Louisville Kentucky, and being the trooper that he is, Collins insisted the show must go on.

Collins was wheeled into The Yum Center, complete with the Iron Lung, from Louisville General Hospital.  A team of Doctors and nurses were by his side.

After the show, Madhouse spoke to fan Doug Durrum who gushed “He never sounded better. The Iron Lung actually helped him, plus the band used it as a percussion instrument during ‘In The Air Tonight’.”

For the final night of the tour, Collins plans to perform Live, while having open heart surgery.
