Man Charged With Operating Huge Ticket Scalping Ring Since 1980s

A Ridgemont, California man, Mike Damone has been charged with operating a major ticket scalping ring since the early 1980s. If you are wondering why ticket prices are so high, ticket scalping is one of the main reasons. Besides greed and corruption of course. Well, fans may see some relief now as a major ring has been busted.

Basically Mike Damone has allegedly been the ringleader of one of the largest and most profitable ticket scalping operations in the entire United States. Damone started the scam back in the 1980s and sold concert tickets to his friends and classmates at inflated prices. “He once sold me tickets to Earth Wind & Fire” said Charles Jefferson. “He was a real douche but he got me and my little brother great seats.”

After graduation, Damone made scalping his full time career. With the uptick in ticket prices and demand for tickets, Damone was making a nice living. It is alleged that he was making 7 figures per year and employed hundreds of workers. His company, Damones Ticket Service Inc was a major supplier to the many “legal” ticket resellers that have popped up over the years.

A former friend of Damone’s, who just gave us her first name, Stacy, did not have good things to say about Mike. “He was a piece of shit” yelled Stacy. “He got me pregnant and wouldn’t give me a ride or pay to take care of the situation. I am glad he got arrested, I hope he rots in prison. He has a tiny wiener too.”

Other former classmates all agreed that Damone was a jerk. “Damone was my best friend and then he slept with my girlfriend” said Mark Ratner. “Lock him up.” When asked for comment, Damone replied, “I am totally innocent, but remember, When it comes to making out, whenever possible, put on Side I of Led Zeppelin IV.”

A Ticketmaster spokesperson laughed when asked if we should see a decrease in ticket prices and surcharges anytime soon. “Ha, prices only increase, they never decrease” said Jason Karns. “Why don’t you go ask a rock star for a discount. Maybe that average Joe, blue collar Bruce Springsteen worth $500 million will lower prices. Good luck buddy.”
