David Gilmour Reforms Pink Floyd with Roger Waters’ Son Harry

David Gilmour announced that he is reforming Pink Floyd with Roger Waters’ son Harry Waters. Harry previously played in Roger’s band but was fired. With this news, it seems that the war of The Pink Floyd’s will rage on. The two former bandmates have a long history of feuding. Any hope of reconciliation seems to be lost after today’s Gilmour bomb was launched in Roger Waters’ direction.

The newly reformed Pink Floyd will feature Gilmour on Guitar/Vocals, Harry Waters on Keyboards, John Paul Jones on Bass and Jason Bonham on drums. At this time it is said The band will tour and record this summer. When asked for comment Gilmour replied, “Of course I did it just to annoy Roger. This was my best revenge yet.”

Harry is a trained pianist who played in his father’s band for many years. However he was unceremoniously dumped one day by his father. “I have no idea why I was fired” said Harry. “One day I get a text from my Dad that said he would no longer be needing my services. Your money is on the dresser and I will see you at Christmas, Love Dad.”

Pink Floyd was founded by Waters in 1965. Gilmour joined the band in 1967. They achieved incredible success selling 250 million albums. “Dark Side of The Moon” “Animals” “Wish You Were Here” and “The Wall” are classic albums. Due to growing hatred of each other Waters left the band in 1985.

During the making of The Wall, increasing tension and inner turmoil threatened the future of the band. The final straw came in 1984 when Roger Waters and David Gilmour were traveling to a band meeting. Waters accused Gilmour of looking out of his (Waters) window of the limo instead of the window on Gilmours side of the car. Gilmour was shocked and told Madhouse News, “Who does something like that? Who cares what window someone looks out. The windows in a car are for everyone. No one owns any of the windows. They are for all to look out of. I had enough of Rogers nonsense so I smashed him in the nuts with my guitar.”

Gilmour carried on using the name Pink Floyd and Waters sued. They did manage a reunion in 2005 but most of the years since, were spent fighting, in court and criticizing each other in the press and social media. When asked for comment on the recent news, Roger Waters replied, “Oh yeah well I slept with David’s Mum and Nan. I will get David for this as well, he better sleep with one eye open.”
