Aerosmith Demands Joey Kramer Fight ‘The Mountain’ Before Rejoining Band

The latest installment of the Aerosmith saga, involves singer Steven Tyler demanding that drummer Joey Kramer fight their bodyguard ‘The Mountain” to prove he is worthy and capable of drumming for the band.

Kramer has been out on disability after a prank went wrong and he was anally impaled by his drum stool. Kramer missed the band’s Las Vegas residence and a fill in drummer, Paul Lambert      was brought in.

With an important upcoming gig at The Grammy’s, Aerosmith first insisted Kramer audition to prove that he was able to play at an appropriate level and had enough energy. He failed the audition and then sued the band to be reinstated. His request was denied in court.

Joe Perry told Madhouse News “this is an important gig, this could be our big break, we can’t have a 70 year old guy playing drums with us.”

Steven Tyler added “If Kramer really wants to drum with the band, then he will fight ‘The Mountain’. That will prove to me that he is hungry and strong and ready to play the drums for 3 minutes with Aerosmith. If he beats the Mountain, then he can play drums with us. If he loses, then ‘The Mountain’ will probably kill him.”

Professional strongman and actor, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, portrayed ‘The Mountain’ on the HBO TV series ‘Game of Thrones’ and is currently employed as Aerosmith’s head of security.
