Nelson was baling hay and slopping pigs when he saw flames and smoke coming from the house. Willie realized 7 of his 57 children and 19 of his 137 grandchildren were inside. 9 dogs, 3 cats, a ferret, bird and a pot bellied pig were also in the home. With no concern for his own safety, Nelson sprinted into the burning building to rescue his collection of rare strains of Mary Jane.

Nelson owns an incredible collection worth millions of dollars. The collection includes some of the rarest and strongest strains known to man. Godfather OG is a rare strain that’s hard to find and boasts a 35% level making it the strongest in the world. Other prize possessions are bales of Willies favorites brands, Gorilla Glue and Bruce Banner.

Willie told Madhouse News, “I saw the flames and ran in to save my priceless collection. The family were fading fast but I knew I had time to save the collection first and then circle back for the family and pets. So first I grabbed the Godfather OG, then the Gorilla Glue and Bruce Banner.”

When asked why he risked his life for the Chronic, Nelson replied, “I would go to the end of the world for my collection. It has been good to me and I love it. Did you know that Gorilla Glue 4 is a 2014 Cannabis Cup winner and it has even won a Jamaican World Cup as well? Does that explain it for you now?“

After the collection was safe and sound, Willie went back in for the kids, grandkids, dogs, cats, ferret, bird and his pot bellied pig which he named Sir Oinks a Lot. He carried them all to safety one by one. Willie said he’s not a hero and just did what any amazing human would do. “Did you know I was quite the athlete in High School. I was on the football, baseball and basketball teams. I ran track, I was president of the golf, debate and chess teams as well.”
