Rob Halford To Star in Yellowstone as Mysterious Preacher

Judas Priest singer and Heavy Metal God Rob Halford will star as a mysterious preacher in the new season of Yellowstone. Paramount made the announcement today that Halford will join the cast for Season 5 of the popular TV show.

The series follows the Dutton family, owners of the largest ranch in Montana, the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, commonly called “the Yellowstone”. The plot revolves around family drama and assorted beggars, thieves and hangers on trying to poach the Dutton’s land. Ranch manager Rip Wheeler usually has to intervene and take the sumbitch to “the train station”.

Jebediah T. Calhoun

Halford joins the cast as the mysterious singing preacher Jebediah T. Calhoun. Pastor Calhoun hails from Pigeon Forge, Tennessee where he runs the largest ministry east of the Mississippi. Calhoun’s father Buford T. Calhoun founded the church in the back of an old feed store. The church now boasts over a million faithful and a net worth of $100 million.

Calhoun enters the Dutton’s life when he decides he wants their land to build the largest church/stadium in the world to hold all his followers. His weekly sermons feature Calhoun singing Heavy Metal hymns. Apparently Calhoun does not take kindly to the word No and declares holy war on the Duttons.

Yellowstone star Kevin Costner stated “I am excited to have Rob join the cast. I am not a fan of Heavy Metal, I prefer country and light rock. Real country like Florida Georgia Line and Keith Urban. Even though I don’t like Heavy Metal, Rob is one of my favorite singers, and his band is one of my favorites too. I can’t think of the name of his band right now and I can’t remember any of their songs at this time, but I am a big fan. Wait, does he sing, Every Rose Has A Thorn, that’s my favorite heavy metal song.

Halford has been working with coaches to perfect his southern accent. We cannot wait to hear that. Yellowstone will return to Paramount Network on Sunday, November 13.
