Happy Birthday Sheryl Crow

Happy Birthday Sheryl Crow (Feb 11)! Sheryl Suzanne Crow was born in Kennett, Missouri to Bernice and Wendell Wyatt Crow. Wendell was a lawyer and trumpet player, not necessarily in that order. Sheryl’s family can be traced back to the Mayflower, and her great-grandfather was congressman Jim Crow. He of course created the ‘Jim Crow laws’, which were state and local laws that enforced racial segregation.

Sheryl had a good time in High School and basically ran the school. She was a track star, a majorette, joined the pep club, football team, mathletes, and was crowned Paperdoll Queen. Surprisingly her future boyfriend Lance Armstrong won the same title at his High School.

After Sheryl graduated from the University of Missouri, she worked as a music teacher, jingle writer and WalMart greeter. Sheryl worked at the Chuck Berry Elementary School in Fenton, Missouri. Her students referred to her as Miss Tilf. While at WalMart, the customers loved her and she would serenade them with WalMart jingles all day. She went on to sing backing vocals for Michael Jackson, Milli Vanilli, and Right Said Fred.

In 1994, on the strength of the hit song “All I Wanna Do”, her album “Tuesday Night Music Club” sold 50 million copies in Missouri alone and broke all kinds of records. Sheryl was an International superstar.

Crow had a very active personal life. She dated Owen Wilson, Barack Obama, Lance “One Ball” Armstrong and had a famous relationship with Eric Clapton. Sheryl is currently dating Don Henley and has an impressive net worth of $40 million.
