The Count Basie was packed with fans young and old. Olivia Newton John is the nicest woman in show business, and the fans love her.

Olivia opened the show with ‘Magic’. She looked beautiful and sang like an Angel. Her voice was just as wonderful as it was back in the 1970’s.

Olivia took us on a musical journey throughout her amazing career. ‘Xanadu’, ‘Lets Get Physical’ , and a medley of country hits. ‘Please Mr. Please’, ‘Let Me Be There’, ‘Jolene’ and ‘Have You Never Been Mellow’.  Olivia performed ‘The Dolphin Song’ and of course there was  ‘Grease’.

Next year is the 40th anniversary of ‘Grease’ , and women of every age have a personal connection to the movie and ‘Sandy’.  There was a young girl in the audience waving her Sandy doll. There were teens, all the way up to matures singing and dancing to these Grease classics. ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You’, ‘Summer Nights’, ‘You’re The One That I Want’, and ‘We Go Together’.

Olivia closed the show with the Beautiful ‘Grace and Gratitude’ off of her latest ‘LIV ON’ album. For the first encore Olivia did a beautiful rendition of ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ with just her and the piano. Then for the second and final encore Olivia performed ‘I Honestly Love You’. It was the highlight for me. (I was not crying, I had something in my eye).

It was truly a wonderful night. Olivia is an international treasure and has given us all so many beautiful memories. It was an honor to cover the concert.
