Crank County Daredevils

Brighton Bar, Long Branch, NJ

Opening bands are usually background music while you wait for the headliner. But every so often you get a Band that grabs you and demands your attention. I had the opportunity to see Crank County Daredevils open for Cheetah Chrome at the Brighton Bar in Long Branch NJ, and from the second they hit the stage, they had my attention. These guys are the real deal. Straight ahead, No Nonsense, Southern Devil Music. They sound and look like what Rock Stars should look like. Tattoos, Guitars, Snarls and Bad Attitudes. No Man Buns playing Acoustic Guitars.

Crank County Daredevils could be the aborted child of Motorhead, Marilyn Manson, Social Distortion and Satan. This is Bad Ass music that makes you want to smash someone in the face with a brick! Crank County Daredevils hail from Asheville North Carolina, which I picture as the Meth Capital of the South!  The band is Singer/Guitarist Scotty P. , Bassist Billy Velvet, Lead Guitarist Rory Kelly and Drummer Mike Irwin. With 3 incredible albums under their belt, the band is just returning from a 6 year hiatus and have released a new single “Kicked in the Teeth”.
Hopefully there is a lot more to come from these guys, go see them live, buy their albums and new single, you won’t regret it. Unless you are a Pussy that is!
Led by Liv Warfield of Prince’s New Power Generation and Nancy Wilson co-founder of Heart, ROADCASE ROYALE has a rich background in rock and R&B. Warfield, Wilson, and their bandmates bring their decades of experience from the upper echelon of the music industry to ROADCASE ROYALE, along with a renewed sense of direction and drive.
Joining Wilson and Warfield are Warfield’s lead guitarist Ryan Waters and Heart veterans Dan Rothchild (bass), Ben Smith (Drums) and Chris Joyner (Keys). Each of these members shine with their various sensibilities creating the group’s sensitive, passionate, and driving rock and R&B sound.
