It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Countess Luann de Lesseps kicked off the Christmas season November 30, when she brought her Holiday Cabaret Show to The Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, NJ.
Countess Luann is of course, a cast member on “The Real Housewives of New York”. Luann is a former nurse, countess, and model. She has led a fabulous, glamorous life.
The Count Basie Theater is packed. 1500 seats, and I appear to be the only male in attendance. It’s a Girls night out on steroids. Ladies drinking wine, getting dressed up and having the time of their lives. Should I be here? I am a straight male who loves “The Real Housewives of New York” and Countess Luann. I have a glimpse into another world.
The stage is beautiful and decorated for Christmas. Luann hits the stage and the crowd goes wild. The Countess is stunningly beautiful in her white gown, gloves and lots of fancy jewelry. She slinks across the stage singing a playful, sexy version of Jingle Bells. Luann then invites her drum teacher from rehab out to the stage, where they do “Santa Baby”, complete with Luann on drums.
Luann leaves the stage for a costume change and we are introduced to the hysterical Murray Hill. Murray Hill is a well-known New York City comedian, drag king entertainer and the self-proclaimed "hardest-working middle-aged man in show business."
